My little treat!

It all started a week last Sunday when I drove up to Doncaster to the Stamp Magic show..... the MDF man was there, and I overhead him talking about setting up some classes, and the first ones were on the 15th and 16th June.  Well, I thought I'm up for a bit of that....  so I booked in for Sunday, yesterday.

What a brilliant day!  It was messy, mucky, covered in paint, pva and gilding flakes! and surrounded by some really talented ladies (Cathryn and Ruth I mean you!) and a room full of like-minded crafters!

It did however start off a bit differently.... Rob (the MDF Man) was totally behind schedule and as I got there early I grabbed a paintbrush and got stuck in priming up all the frames we would be working on later.  Bless him, he was totally stressing out... and apologising all day long ... what for? ... we don't know.  Everyone had a great day, there was loads of different techniques tackled.. some we liked,  some we didn't .. but if you dont try them you dont know!

Here's some pics of my box.. its still not finished .... it has to have a clock mechanism put in it and the inside needs decorating.....another work in progress BUT I LOVE IT!!

Love the back of the front cover, black acrylic and stencilled using gilding wax!

The side was covered in old book pages, embossing paste using a clock mask & gilded with 3 colours of wax

OMG its June!!

Where did May go??  Its seems forever since I crafted last, especially since I had to cancel my last class because I was laid up with a chest infection. But I'm back in action and have an all day class on Saturday 8th June when we'll be Tackling Techniques and this month its Embossing!  There's still time to sign up just give me a call or email me!

• the end of the current Stampin' Up! Catalogue year is nigh and the long awaited Retired Stamps and Accessories lists are here and here!  If you want anything be quick, coz when they are gone and thats it! ... mmmmm.... I suspect there'll be some floating about on ebay! (ooops did I say that?!).
  
  
• I can also tell you that Stampin' Up! have the most fantastic new catalogue launching on 2nd July.... cant show you but there could be a sneeky peak coming soon!  Some fantastic new colours have been added to the range and loads of new stamp sets and accessories... I know you're going to love them all!
  
  
• two good friends signed up with me this month so huge welcome to Karen and Victoria!!
